Absentee or Distance Healing is the transmission of healing energy to a person or persons at a location remote from
the Reiki Practitioner. This ability to send remote healing is acquired as part of the attunement into Reiki Level II.
Absentee Healing is used when a person in need of healing cannot visit a Reiki Practitioner.
He or she might be too far away, in another town or country anywhere in the world.
Absentee Healing is just as effective as 'Hands On' healing. The healing energy channelled is as strong as that experienced during a personal visit. Sending absentee or distant healing is very rewarding for the Reiki Practitioner, especially when feedback is received from the recipient.
Absentee healing is only used for those who request it. It cannot be sent to a person against his or her wishes.
Practitioners
send absentee healing in a number of ways. This may be at a pre-arranged
time when the receiver
will sit
or lie quietly for an agreed period while the Reiki Practitioner sends
the healing.
Another method, which is used
extensively, is to send the healing during the night while the receiver is
sleeping.
This method works extremely
well as people tend to live such busy lives that it can be difficult to
match
convenient times for both parties.
Visitors to the site who would like to receive absentee healing should
email
a brief description of themselves
and the condition or problem that may be
causing distress.
A late night
healing session, at no cost, will be sent within a few days of receiving
the request.
